A patent-pending multi-stage gas separator that stacks onto any conventional gas separator — each added chamber slows fluid drawdown a little further, so hard-to-break gases get more time to escape.
Alarm Clock is a patent-pending multiple stage gas separator designed to help hard-to-break gases come out of solution. Each separator chamber adds additional separation area, allowing fluid drawdown to slow and gas to break away — the result is more fluid at the separator intake and less gas reaching the pump.
Stack chambers, slow the drawdown, give gas more time to escape before the pump.
Wellbores naturally create only small areas to separate fluids and gases, forcing unwanted gas into the pump. Alarm Clock was created to increase the pump's effective separator area rather than relying on the wellbore's natural geometry alone.
By adding multiple separators together, Alarm Clock slows fluid moving into the inner tube leading to the pump — slower drawdown gives more gas time to escape the wellbore before it reaches the intake.
A large mesh screen and carbide nozzles create the slower drawdown that drives separation, built to hold up under continuous flow.
Alarm Clock runs in line with any conventional gas separator. Combining it with other separators incrementally increases the total flow area available for separation.
