A patented, tubing-based chamber that catches the 5–10% of sand a desander lets through — before it can stall a pump during downtime.
Downhole desanders are highly effective at removing sand — typically 90–95% efficient. But the remaining 5–10% of particles can still bypass the desander and accumulate on top of the pump, causing wear and equipment failure whenever the pump is shut down. The C-RAM System is a patented, tubing-based sand collection chamber designed specifically to prevent blockages and wear during periods of inactivity, then reintroduce fluid flow to clear the collected sand once the pump is back in operation. The chamber holds up to 1.26 cu ft of sand in the 4.5" OD version, or 0.54 cu ft in the 4.00" OD version.
A detachable chamber that catches fallback sand and clears it on restart.
A hollow chamber within the housing collects and holds solids while the pump is not operating — exactly when unprotected sand would otherwise settle onto the pump.
A lower screen helps fluid flow around and through the solids chamber, promoting continued separation and removal even as sand accumulates.
The system can flow in both directions, which allows for injection treatments — including chemical treatment pumped down the tubing when required.
The inner chamber is easily detachable and can be cleaned and reused across multiple jobs, extending pump lifespan cost-effectively rather than replacing hardware after every stuck-pump incident.
