Overview

MK-45 is a patented high-volume ESP desander designed to effectively remove sand and debris from oil and gas wells. Using hydrocyclonic separation, it eliminates solid particles from the production stream to ensure optimal sand control. Positioned below the ESP, the desander features a tangential inlet integrated into the housing wall, enhancing wear resistance and separation efficiency. Re-engineered from industrial desanders, it's specifically adapted for high-flow-rate wells, incorporating erosion coatings along with nickel and stainless-steel materials for exceptional wear resistance and durability.

How it works

A tangential-inlet desander built into the housing wall, deployable two ways.

  • Tangential inlet

The inlet is integrated directly into the housing wall rather than a separate fitting, enhancing wear resistance and separation efficiency at high flow rates.

  • Hydrocyclonic separation

Solid particles are eliminated from the production stream through hydrocyclonic separation, re-engineered from industrial desander designs for oil and gas flow rates.

  • Flexible deployment

MK-45 can be installed in the HIMARS assembly or run beneath a mechanically set or cup-style packer, depending on the completion.

  • Erosion-resistant materials

Advanced erosion coatings combined with nickel and stainless-steel construction give the housing exceptional wear resistance for high-volume service.
