Plunger Lift / Gas Lift Desander

Trident II

A desander built for the life of a well — the outer housing runs on the initial tube-up, and the desander core installs later on slickline as sand becomes an issue, removing the workover.

Overview

Trident II is a desander system made for the life of modern wells. As wells age from their initial tube-up and move toward plunger lift, Trident II allows unrestricted flow until a later point in life — when the desander core is installed on slickline, removing the need for a workover. It's a patent-pending, single-trip desander system for gas lift and plunger lift wells.

How it works

The housing goes in once; the desander core arrives later, on slickline, when the well needs it.

  • Outer housing on initial tube-up

The outer housing is made up on the initial production tubing string and produced through — no early intervention needed while the well is still flowing clean.

  • Desanding core added later

The internal desanding core can be run later in life, on slickline, once sand becomes an issue — without pulling the tubing string.

  • Hydrocyclonic separation

Once installed, flow is diverted into a hydrocyclonic desander that removes solids before fluid reaches the surface.

  • Swappable, resizable core

The desander core can be swapped out and resized as the well ages. If the mud joints become full, the core can be removed and flow continues up hole unobstructed.
