The Fat Man platform with an integrated TAC bypass built into the body — unrestricted gas flow past the TAC, on top of the same two-stage separation.
FatMan 239 integrates the Fat Man hydrocyclonic gas separator with a TAC bypass for unrestricted flow above the separator. It keeps the same two-stage separation as the base platform — centrifugal and gravity gas break away up top, hydrocyclonic desanding below — while the TAC is now built directly into the body, and can incorporate any TAC on the market.

The upper spiral pushes heavier fluid to the outer housing while gas breaks toward the middle; on the downstroke gas moves back upward and out of the separator.
A patent-pending bypass lets fluid and gas move freely through and around the TAC, providing more flow area than a conventional through-TAC path. The outer housing is heavy-walled P110 material, mated to any TAC on the market.
A dip tube runs through the TAC, allowing gas to rise unrestricted to surface above the TAC while fluid continues through its own path.
The lower portion houses the desander, using the same centripetal, vacuum-cleaner-style motion as the base Fat Man to force solids into the lower mud anchor.
