The Fat Man desander stage, converted for higher flow rates and placed below the ESP or a rod pump packer-style separator setup.
The FatMan Desander system is a high-performance solution for sand and debris control in oil and gas wells. Using the same hydrocyclonic style separation as the base Fat Man platform, it removes solid particles from the production stream to ensure optimal sand control. The system is placed below the ESP, or below a rod pump packer-style separator setup, and features a heavy-walled slotted sub for unrestricted flow from the reservoir. Some form of annular isolation forces fluid and gas in and through the cyclonic desander.
The Fat Man desander, converted for ESP flow rates.
A heavy-walled slotted sub sits below the ESP — or below a rod pump packer-style separator setup — giving unrestricted flow from the reservoir into the desander.
Some form of annular isolation forces fluid and gas in and through the cyclonic desander, without needing a full setting mechanism.
The desander is taken directly from the Fat Man platform and converted for higher flow rates, with rate-specific cyclonic spirals and erosion coatings for wear resistance.
On the FatMan Desander, liquid and gas both pass through the desander. Enter your rates and conditions to see the right size, and email yourself the result.
The base platform — centrifugal gas break away plus hydrocyclonic desanding.
Adds an integrated TAC bypass for unrestricted gas flow above the tool.
Wire-wrapped screen adds 58% more screen area for continually sandy wellbores.
